Do Not Fear

1 Timothy 1:7For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”   Why are we afraid? What causes us to be afraid? Do our uncertainties deter us from moving forward in our lives? Is fear a positive effect or negative effect? What is the meaning of being fearful? Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat. Why do most of us fight with the spirit of fear daily? Fear is one of the things the enemy uses against us. Is a powerful force which prevents us from moving forward in life? It’s a very perilous spirit that needs to be dealt with.   I have been struggling with the spirit of fear my whole life. The spirit of fear has been a stronghold over my life for too long. It hasn’t been an easy journey. It made me limited and affected my self-esteem.   Every so often, l found myself frightened to the point where l could not concentrate on the things of life. There was no focus. I was anguished by this spirit for too long, whereby l had no voice or self-expression. Repeatedly, l was crushed by this manipulative spirit. However, l got to a point in my life I had no identity and self-esteem. I could not face myself on daily basis because the spirit of fear told me that I was not as important as I thought I was. I became enslaved by my fears.   Isaiah 41:10Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”   My spiritual life, career, decisions, etc. were all affected by the spirit of fear. I saw myself not meeting up to standards, because of the manipulation of fear. I was meant to think l will never find myself. I found myself unimportant. How did I get out of it? I started praying to God incessantly and fasting at the same time to remove me from this captivity and bondage. I had to learn to overcome them directly by facing them. The spirit of God told me ” if you don’t try how would you know” so l proceeded with the mindset, that’s how l overcame it in Jesus name. Amen Now, l had to adapt a strategic way of dealing with it. I call the spirit of fear, a “distraction”. When l sees it coming, I don’t feed into it because l bears the mark of Christ nothing can hold me down. The spirit of fear is like having cancer. You need to keep fighting until it disappears.   Fear comes from the spirit of oppression, suppression and intimidation. Most people fall victims of this because they have been manipulated too long and don’t know how to get out. But, am here to let you know Jesus die on the cross, so you can be liberated not to be in bondage. Nevertheless, don’t feel entrapped for the Lord overcame it on the cross. Let that spirit of fear know the spirit that’s in you is greater.   Children of God, a lot of us out here are overshadowed and tormented by this spirit. It hinders us from manifesting in our full potential and spiritual growth. Do not let fear overtake you. Let the peace of God be with you always.   Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”   I pray every spirit of fear hindering or limiting your life and spiritual advancement be nullified and cancel in Jesus Mighty Name. Remember you are an overcomer and conqueror. Amen
